About counselling

Many people seek out counselling to help them process difficult emotions, deal with a stressful life event, or address a particular issue impacting their lives. This is often where they are introduced to counselling as a therapeutic intervention that provides support and tools to apply to their situation and move forward in healthy, meaningful ways. Counselling can do this - and more. Just as our bodies adapt to exercise and can get stronger with activity, our brains respond the same way with practice and engagement in therapeutic conversations, and spending time and energy on our personal growth and evolution. Counselling can support our growth through difficult times, and to embrace ourselves wholly and lovingly through the seasons of life. So whether you need support for a specific challenge or to provide some therapeutic applications to your mental health, counselling can offer both.

How I work

I practice from a holistic, integrative framework that considers each person as an individual as well as connected and a part of the systems we operate within.

Trained as a social worker, I appreciate that our lives are influenced by multiple complex internal and external factors, both tangible and intangible. My goal as a counsellor is to help you find what works for you for your unique situation and your life. I believe change is possible, if not inevitable - and counselling can support you in the best possible way for the changes you are making.
